Red Hawk Resort Casino is home to another two nights of live music this weekend with American Mile rolling in to lead the weekend entertainment line-up, bringing the casino stage bar to life from 8 p.m. until midnight on Friday. Kirk Basquez will take to the stage on Saturday night from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Forming in 2018, American Mile has been carving their name into the roots of southern rock and country music around North America. With influences ranging from Aerosmith and The Black Crowes to Chris Stapleton and Tom Petty, their powerful sound has garnered them important shows in front of thousands at festivals and stages.

Performances at Summerfest, the NASCAR Auto Club 400, a NYE headlining slot at The infamous Idaho Potato Drop in Boise, Concert In The Park Sacramento ’22, opening for artists such as Lindsey Ell, Tyler Rich, Kameron Marlowe, Buckcherry, Colt Ford, and after-partys for 3 Doors Down, Erich Church, and Old Dominion have proven American Mile is a must-see act time and time again.

American Mile drew attention around Los Angeles with their explosive stage presence and southern-blues rock sound coupled with three-part harmony and a hint of country. In 2020 American Mile released their debut-album “The Longest Road”. Grammy Nominated Producers/Songwriters Bruce Witkin and Keith Nelson contributed to the 11-track release, and in 2021 the band started working along-side national booking agency Mason Entertainment.

On Saturday night, It’s the Kirk Matthew and the Los Vaqueros band taking the Red Hawk stage.

Born and raised in Northern California and coming from a large family of musicians, Kirk Matthew says, “country music is his jam,” has been on musical journey in which he was influenced by some of country music’s biggest names.

That journey started when Matthew was just six years old when his mother bought him his first guitar and the rest is history as followed influences of Hank Williams Jr. Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, John Mayer and many others.

Matthew loves performing live on stage most of all, where he strives to give his fans the same joy music gives him.

“There is nothing better than experiencing the energy from a crowd that loves your style of music, “ says Matthew.

Entertainment begins at 10 p.m. Saturday night and continues until until 2 a.m. There is no cover charge for the events at Red Hawk Casino’s stage bar.
