Hot August nights get groovy this Thursday in the heart of Folsom as the Folsom Historic District Association (FHDA) Summer Twilight Concert series lights up the Zittel Family Amphitheater. The event is one of 6 more weeks of live music under the promotion of the FHDA that continues into early September This week it’s the multi-member Hipper Than Hip taking the stage to help you get your groove on

Hipper than Hip is comprised of some of Northern California’s finest musicians.  Hipper Than Hip cites themselves as a diverse group of seasoned professionals sharing musical history, collaborations, and friendships spanning more than four decades. This versatile ensemble delivers the goods with industrial-strength funk and a healthy dose of classic R&B and soul.  Their stellar vocals, powerful horn line, and on point percussion, brings on an infectious groove.

They encourage everyone to get out on the dance floor and get hip, because “they are Hipper Than Hip.”

The 2024 music series presented by Historic Folsom Station and Willamette Wineworks with a number of supporting sponsors that make it all possible. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and continues for two hours. An early arrival to the amphitheater is suggested to reserve a spot, guests are urged to bring low-backed chairs that sit close to the ground or picnic blankets. The concert is free for all ages.
