Folsom firefighters with the asssistance of Sacramento Metro fire responded to a structure fire Saturday night that forced temporary evacuations of neighboring homes.
Just before 10:30 p.m., multiple units from the Folsom Fire Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Ebi Way in Folsom.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a garage heavily involved in flames. The residents of the home had safely evacuated the structure without injury.
During the initial fire attack, firefighters evacuated residents of neighboring homes on both sides of the affected structure due to concerns about fire exposure.
By 10:35 p.m., firefighters reported they had contained the active fire to the garage area with no further extension into the home.
A total of four Folsom engines were dispatched to the scene, along with Folsom Truck 35 and Sacramento Metro Truck 65. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
