Looking for a furry friend with a vibrant personality and a heart full of love? Meet Redford, a neutered male brown and gray Siberian Husky who’s ready to find his forever home. Redford is about 3 years old and weighs approximately 65 pounds. He’s been at the Sacramento County Animal Care Services, better known as the Bradshaw Animal Shelter since July 13, 2024, and he’s eager to start a new chapter with a loving family.
Redford is not just a pretty face; he’s also incredibly smart. He’s already mastered commands like “sit,” “down,” and “stay,” showing off his impressive intelligence. This clever boy is a joy to walk on a leash, although he can be a bit jumpy at times. With the right motivation and consistent training, Redford is sure to become a leash-walking pro in no time.
One of Redford’s favorite things is playtime. His love for toys makes every play session a blast, and his affectionate nature shines through during brushing sessions. This is an important trait for a husky with his luxurious coat. Regular grooming will be a breeze with Redford, as he enjoys the attention and bonding time it brings. This smart and playful pup is looking for a loving home that will appreciate his energy, intelligence, and affectionate spirit. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who’s as eager to learn as he is to love, Redford is the perfect match for you!
Redford has also participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy having a compatible canine friend in his new home. If you’re looking for a buddy for your dog, bring them to the shelter for a meet and greet to see if they are a match! Please note that Redford needs to go to a cat-free home.
To meet Redford, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter any Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of Redford’s Animal ID number and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Don’t forget to bring your ID with you too.
