Units from multiple agencies are on the scene of a fire in El Dorado Hills Thursday afternoon near Bass Lake Road.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m on Thursday, units from the El Dorado Hills Fire Department and CalFire were dispatched to the incident that was reportedly called in to 911. The initial call  reported the incident incident as a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, first responders faced a fully involved pick up truck that was towing a travel trailer that had pulled to the side of the roadway.  All occupants of the vehicle escaped without injury.

By the time units arrived on scene, the blaze had spread to nearby vegetation on the south side of Highway 50.   The eastbound Bass Lake Road off ramp is expected to be closed for awhile as firefighters secure the scene, check for spot fires in the current red flag conditions and mop up the fire to prevent any flare ups.
